Huang Mei Gui (Yellow Rose Rock Oolong Tea) started trial planted by the Tea Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1998, is a hybrid of the Yellow Goddess (Huang Guan Yin) and Golden Osmanthus (Huang Jin Gui) cultivars, and is a relatively new and less known type of rock oolong tea.
As new varieties of oolong tea, Yellow Rose
oolong tea combines the strengths of rock tea with a rich floral and fruity
aroma, it tastes not as strong as Cinnamon oolong tea or as fragrant as Water
Fairy oolong tea and has light rose aroma. As soon as it was put into market,
it became a favorite with a large number of tea lovers.
Yellow Rose oolong tea processing is
difficult, the fire is extremely delicate, non-charcoal roasting can not be,
and the charcoal kind of picky, the production over the years are not much.
This Yellow Rose Oolong tea was planted in
Wuyi Mountain, Fujian. The shape of its leaves is thick, burly, red brown, curl
at the leaf tip.
